Documents: Tim Quarterman paid by agent under FBI investigation while at LSU

The FBI’s investigation of illicit payments in college basketball has arrived at LSU’s doorstep.

According to documents obtained by Yahoo!, former LSU guard Tim Quarterman received $16,000 from the agency of Andy Miller, currently under investigation by the FBI for their involvement in funnelling money to college athletes.

The documents list accounts as of Dec. 31, 2015, when Quarterman was still a junior at LSU, and indicates the Savannah, Ga. native was loaned $16,000. That amount was among the largest in the document.

Quarterman did not sign with ASM, Miller’s agency. He ended up signing with Aaron Turner of Verus Management after the 2015-16 season. After spending one season with the Portland Trailblazers, he is no longer in the NBA.

Another ex-LSU player, Jarell Martin, appeared in the document, but Martin was already in the NBA at the time of the statements, which indicated he had received a $52,000 loan.
