LSU extended an offer to 2019 guard Rocket Watts, Watts announced on Twitter Monday.
A 6-foot-3 combo guard from Michigan, Watts currently holds offers from a number of top programs, including Marquette, Louisville, UConn, Michigan, and Michigan State. He’s already taken unofficials to Marquette, Michigan, Michigan State, and Missouri, per 247Sports.
Watts ranks as the No. 48 player in his class and the No. 5 shooting guard in the country, per 247Sports. He’s currently second in the Nike EYBL in scoring, averaging 25.3 points per game on 42/35/85 shooting (FG/3FG/FT). Rivals recently listed him among the standouts of the USA Basketball U-18 camp.
“A tough and wired to compete guard that is more of a scorer than a playmaker, whenever Watts is feeling it, all that the opponent can do is pray that a solid contest and disciplined defense can do the trick,” Corey Evans of Rivals.com wrote.
