Five members of the LSU football team earned spots on the Associated Press All-Southeastern Conference team, the AP announced Monday.
Three Tigers earned spots on the first-team defense with linebacker Devin White, cornerback Greedy Williams and safety Grant Delpit all earning coveted spots on the first team alongside placekicker Cole Tracy.
This is the second time both Williams and White earned first-team All-SEC honors from the AP.
White finished the regular season with 115 tackles and 12 tackles for loss. He is a Butkus Award finalist.
William finished his final season with the Tigers — he declared for the NFL Draft on Sunday and will not play in the Fiesta Bowl — with two interceptions and 9 pass breakups.
Delpit earned his first All-SEC honor as he leads the SEC with five interceptions to go along with 73 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss and 5 sacks.
Tracy made the most of his one year in the SEC, converting 25 of 29 field goal attempts, converting on 3 of 5 on kicks more than 50 yards and 6 of 7 on kicks between 40 and 49 yards.
LSU punter Zach Von Rosenberg earned second-team honors after averaging 45.6 yards per punt with 18 punts inside the 20-yard line.
Despite the representation, no Tigers won player of the year awards. Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa won Offensive Player of the Year, Kentucky linebacker Josh Allen won Defensive Player of the Year, Vanderbilt running back Ke’Shawn Vaughn won Newcomer of the year and Kentucky’s Mark Stoop was named Coach of the Year.
