Ed Orgeron has made it clear that LSU wants to be cautious with a handful of veterans dealing with minor injuries in Fall Camp.
A number of notable players — some young, some old — were absent from the media viewing portion of practice on Wednesday. It’s worth noting that LSU has its first off day of camp on Thursday.
Here’s a list of players who were either missing or limited from the media viewing portion of practice:
- Outside linebacker K’Lavon Chaisson, cornerback Kristian Fulton and safety Grant Delpit continued to be absent.
- Defensive end Rashard Lawrence and offensive lineman Chasen Hines were absent for the second consecutive day. Both are coming back from offseason knee surgery.
- Freshman cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. was absent. Freshmen Jay Ward, Cordale Flott and Raydarious Jones were the full scholarship cornerback group during individual drills.
- Left tackle Saahdiq Charles practiced in a gold non-contact jersey.
- Freshman running back John Emery Jr. was absent. Wide receiver Devonta Lee, another rookie, was also missing.
