LSU added another athletic, versatile wing to its class on Tuesday, as Nachitoches Central prospect Brandon Rachal pledged his future to the Tigers.
Rachal, the No. 72 prospect in the country, according to 247Sports, made the announcement at 11 a.m. at his high school gymnasium. He selected LSU over Texas A&M, where he spent last weekend on an official visit.
The 6-foot-6, 220 pound four-star prospect averaged 15 points and 6 rebounds to help his high school team to the 5A state title last season, their second in three seasons. He earned first-team All-State honors in 2015-16 and 5A LHSAA tournament MVP honors, scoring 24 points and grabbing 11 rebounds in a 54-52 win over Scotlandville.
Rachal’s addition bumps LSU up 32 spots in the 247Sports 2017 recruiting class team rankings, from No. 68 to No. 36.
