LSU had its full complement of offensive linemen as it took to the practice field Tuesday for the first full-pads workout of the bye week.
Left guard Will Clapp (shoulder) was a full participant while right tackle Toby Weathersby (ankle) worked as the second-team tackle wearing a non-contact gold jersey.
Somewhat surprisingly, freshman Donavaughn Campbell was also a full participant. He didn’t dress out Saturday and was spotted in a walking boot before the game.
However, fullback J.D. Moore watched practice from the sidelines and did not dress out. He left Saturday’s game against Ole Miss in the first quarter with an undisclosed injury.
Outside linebacker Corey Thompson was a full participant at practice, though recent comments by Ed Orgeron suggest his return to game action isn’t imminent. He’s been out since fall camp with a broken bone in his leg.
Tight end Colin Jeter was absent from practice, which isn’t a big deal since it’s a bye week. Inside linebacker Devin Voorhies worked in a gold non-contact jersey.
As far as non-attendance notes, here’s a nugget to savor: Orgeron and defensive line coach Pete Jenkins have apparently given the nickname “Pork chop” to massive nose tackle Travonte Valentine.
Here’s a video of Jenkins working with LSU’s defensive linemen.
