Wednesday was moving day on LSU’s campus. The newest tiger in town was perhaps the most notable new resident to arrive in Baton Rouge.
The university announced Harvey, an 11-month old male Tiger, was in the process of acclimating to the campus’ tiger residence. A rescue tiger from a shelter in Florida, Harvey will spend a week in the night house of the tiger habitat. If he adapts well, he’ll be introduced shortly after as Mike VII.
LSU hasn’t purchased a tiger since 1958. Mikes VI, V, and VI were all donated to the university from rescue facilities.
Meet Harvey. This prospective tiger wanted to take part in Move-In Day too: https://t.co/fVOxXi6Ohx@MikeTheTiger #MikeVII ? pic.twitter.com/1zqGRflyUn
