It appears Ed Orgeron is doing his best to create a pipeline from Alabama to LSU, and so far he’s got tangible results to show for his efforts.
LSU picked up its sixth commitment in as many days — three of which coming from Alabama natives — when three-star linebacker Kendall McCallum announced his pledge in a video posted by 247Sports on Monday morning. He chose the Tigers over finalists Ole Miss and Missouri.
The rising senior at Oxford High is ranked as the No. 25 inside linebacker for the 2019 cycle, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. McCallum joins four-star quarterback Peter Parrish of Phoenix City and three-star cornerback Cordale Flott of Saraland as the third player from the Yellow Hammer state to commit to LSU since Friday.
Adding McCallum brings LSU up to 18 commitments for 2019. The class remains No. 3 nationally, per 247Sports, behind Alabama and Texas A&M.
