It’s officially a run on LSU players at the end of the second round.
The Jacksonville Jaguars selected wide receiver DJ Chark in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft on Friday night. LSU’s departing speedster goes off with the board with the No. 61 overall selection.
Chark will join former Tiger Leonard Fournette in Jacksonville. The Jaguars took the tailback fourth overall in last year’s NFL Draft and he helped lead them to the AFC Championship Game.
Only a one-year starter, Chark has zoomed up draft boards after monster showings at both the Senior Bowl and the NFL Combine. He led the Tigers with 40 catches for 874 yards and three touchdowns last season.
Chark is the third LSU players to be drafted in about an hour’s time. Cornerback Donte Jackson went No. 55 overall to the Carolina Panthers and running back Derrius Guice went No. 59 to the Washington Redskins.
