After enjoying its first day off, the LSU football team got back in action a day ahead of its first scrimmage.
In preparation of that exhibition game, the Tigers wore no pads for the practice, and media was admitted to watch only 10 minutes of position drills.
Linebacker K’Lavon Chaisson, safety Grant Delpit and cornerback Kristian Fulton remained missing, and this time quarterback Joe Burrow also was not seen working out with the team during the media-available portion of practice.
But many Tigers who have recently missed practice were in attendance, including cornerback Derek Stingley, defensive ends Rashard Lawrence and Gleen Logan and offensive linemen Chasen Hines and Kardell Thomas, who was in a gold non-contact jersey.
Additionally, defensive end Saahdiq Charles was out of his gold jersey and back in a white one.
The Tigers’ first scrimmage starts at 11:10 a.m. Saturday in Tiger Stadium, and it will be closed to the public and media. LSU head coach Ed Orgeron will speak with reporters after the scrimmage at approximately 1:50 p.m.
