LSU, in the midst of an incredible run of talent at linebacker ranging from Kwon Alexander to Michael Divinity signed on Wednesday four-star LB Antoine Sampah from Woodbridge, Va.

Sampah is ranked as the No. 4 player nationally in the position and is the No. 2 prospect in Virginia prospect, according to the Geaux247 Sports.

Sampah excels at being an aggressive linebacker. He’s quick to diagnose a play, fast downhill, good at shedding blocks and pursing and is a confident tackler.

However, Sampah has spots in his game that could be improved, namely his lateral movement and pursuit coming off the edge of the line of scrimmage. Against teams that can stretch the field well and get the ball in space, it’s a huge skill required to play linebacker well.

LSU first offered Sampah on February 2018. Sampah committed to the Tigers in April after an in-home visit by defensive coordinator Dave Aranda. Sampah shut down his recruitment for the most part following that, taking an unofficial visit to Alabama in June and an official to LSU last weekend.
