LSU with an historic performance beats Florida 4 3 in game one of College World Series Championship Series to go up 1 0 and is one game away from winning its seventh national championship and first since 2009

With the score tied 3-3 in the 11th inning, Cade Beloso smashed a solo home run into the LSU bullpen to hand the Tigers the lead. Left-handed reliever Riley Cooper then shut down the Gators in the bottom half to seal LSU’s second consecutive 11-inning victory. Ty Floyd, LSU’s starter, struck out a school record 17 Gators’ batters, tying a CWS Finals record.
