Will Wade announced another addition to his staff at LSU on Tuesday, as the program will add former Arizona State assistant Brian Merritt as its Coordinator of Basketball Operations.
Merritt comes to LSU from John Lucas Enterprises, where he served as Director of Scouting/Recruiting. A former walk-on at Towson, his stops include Louisville (G.A., 2003-2005, Director of Basketball Operations, 2005-2006), Hampton (assistant, 2006-2007), Texas A&M Corpus Christi (2007-10), and Arizona State (2015-16).
“We look forward to having Brian Merritt joins our basketball staff,” Wade said in a statement. “His work on several different levels, including most recently for John Lucas, will help us as a staff do what is necessary for the success of the LSU program.”
“I am extremely excited to work with Coach Wade and the staff he has assembled here in Baton Rouge,” Merritt said.
