The skinny: A two-year starter at cornerback for the Buckeyes … Missed five games last season with knee and hip injuries … Spent four seasons at Ohio State … Appeared in 36 games including 15 starts during his four years with the Buckeyes, including all eight of Ohio State’s games in 2020 … Had 43 career tackles and two career interceptions, including eight tackles last season … Had a career-high seven tackles against Alabama in the 2020 season’s national championship game; had four tackles and an interception in Ohio State’s 49-28 win over Clemson in the national semifinals … Won All-Big Ten honorable mention in 2020 after leading the Buckeyes with seven pass breakups and eight passes defended … A third team preseason All-America honors in 2021 who was named to watch lists for the Thorpe Award and the Nagurski Trophy … A native of Orlando, Florida, and product of Jones High there … Ranked No. 58 nationally in the ESPN 300 coming out of high school and played in the Under Armour All-America Game

The skinny: Appeared in 10 games as a freshman special teams contributor with no stats in 2020, but did not play in 2021 … Will rejoin former LSU defensive coordinator Dave Aranda, now head coach at Baylor … Product of Cypress Creek High in the Houston area returns home to Texas … Also received offers from Texas, Southern Cal, Miami, Colorado and Nebraska after going into the portal in late March
