Kevin Faulk is officially back at LSU.
The all-time leading rusher in program history has been hired to be LSU’s new Director of Player Development, the school announced Wednesday afternoon. Per the official release, Faulk’s job descriptions are as follows: work with LSU’s football student-athletes on their academic direction, social development and overall quality of life with the goal of enhancing their development in the classroom, the community and on the football field.
“Kevin is one of the all-time LSU greats and to have him in a role to mentor and develop our players is going to be benefit everyone associated with our program,” LSU coach Ed Orgeron said in an official statement. “Our mission is to develop every aspect of a young man’s life while he’s part of our program and Kevin is going to be instrumental in this process.”
A Tiger from 1995-98, Faulk is the school’s all-time leader in rushing yards (4,557) and rushing touchdowns (46). He finished his collegiate career with an Southeastern Conference-record 6,833 all-purpose yards and still ranks third in SEC history in rushing yards and rushing TDs.
