Spring football may be over, but the LSU staff ended a busy recruiting weekend with a boom on Sunday afternoon.
Four-star linebacker Marcel Brooks committed to LSU over Alabama shortly after spending the weekend on campus for an official visit. The Texas native is ranked as the No. 5 outside linebacker for the 2019 cycle by 247Sports.
Listed at 6-foot-3 and 200 pounds, the Marcus High School standout is considered to be an athletic freak at the linebacker position. He once jumped over a Lexus, according to a report from 247Sports.
Brooks announced his commitment in a video posted on Twitter.
