LSU’s final mid-year enrollee has arrived on campus.
Prized JUCO offensive tackle Badara Traore has arrived in Baton Rouge and is on campus at LSU, according to a report from 247Sports.
Considered one of the top JUCO tackles in the country and a plug-and-play candidate, Traore’s arrival comes just in time. The deadline to add or drop classes for the spring semester at LSU is Thursday. Missing that deadline would’ve meant sitting out the spring.
Instead LSU will have Traore available for spring practices as it looks to replace two early departures for the NFL Draft from the offensive line. He’ll presumably battle for the right tackle spot left vacant by Toby Weathersby. The Tigers are set to return three starters in left guard Garrett Brumfield, left tackle Saahdiq Charles and right guard Ed Ingram.
Traore is one of four offensive linemen signed by LSU during the early signing period. Fellow JUCO product Damien Lewis and center Cole Smith are already on campus and offensive tackle Cameron Wire is expected to enroll this summer.
