Matt Canada was officially unemployed for about two weeks.
Maryland has hired the former LSU offensive coordinator to the same position and Canada is already on campus working, according to a report from Adam Rittenberg of ESPN. The school and Canada have agreed to a multi-year deal, per the report.
LSU and Canada mutually agreed to part ways earlier this month following a rocky first year together. LSU will still pay Canada $1.7 million of the $3.3 million remaining on his contract regardless of what Maryland pays him, as stipulated by the separation agreement.
